We are excited to be open for new applications. We are looking for people and projects with breakthrough healthcare innovations mainly in the field of therapeutics. However, should you have a game-changing innovation in diagnostics, medtech or related fields we would certainly like to receive your application.
Here is how it works
Participation: Applications are open now. Complete the expression of interest form before May 2019 as a first step. If your submission meets our requirements, you will be invited to complete an extended application.
Phase I: Selected projects further develop their cases from September to November in Basel while having access to up to 10,000 Swiss francs each for consultancy and other services. In Phase I, the BaseLaunch team and a number of experienced entrepreneurs and consultants as well as our healthcare partners provide tailored support to each of the projects. Subsequently, the selection committee choose and push forward projects that they believe contain the components needed to succeed: top-notch science, adequate validation, a clear de-risking and development plan and, equally essential, a solid team.
Phase II: This phase lasts at least twelve months, with each project receiving funding of up to 250,000 Swiss francs for further developing their venture. Furthermore, the teams will have help raising additional capital while having access to a co-working office and fully equipped shared laboratory in the Switzerland Innovation Park Basel Area.
