BaseLaunch supports carefully selected ventures in two phases. After a very intense pressure test period, four projects were selected for Phase II of our second year. They now have the opportunity to further advance their breakthrough healthcare innovation and secure further investment.
With support from its advisors and partners, BaseLaunch worked with 10 projects selected for Phase I during the last few months. The main activities included identifying key scientific risks and the means to address them as well as firming up business opportunities and ensuring focus on essential tasks. Furthermore, the projects benefitted from access to BaseLaunch’s healthcare partners, who provide valuable industry knowledge and market know-how.
In Phase II, the four healthcare ventures Anaveon, Pattern Biosciences, Synendos Therapeutics and a biotech in stealth mode will now receive funding of up to 250,000 Swiss francs as well as further support from BaseLaunch and its partners. Additionally, these projects will have free-of-charge access to BaseLaunch’s co-working space and fully equipped shared laboratory. This package allows the teams to focus on what truly matters: advancing and de-risking their science and further developing their ventures. “We provide highly customized support, making the needs of the entrepreneurs and their ventures our key priorities,” says Stephan Emmerth, Director BD & Operations of BaseLaunch. “Over the coming months we will be helping the selected companies to move further in the venture creation process to ultimately attract further investments.”
