CSO Opportunity – Entrepreneurial R&D Leader for a Liver Disease-focused Biotech
The company is seeking an entrepreneurial and experienced biopharma R&D leader to join an exciting early-stage company as Chief Scientific Officer. The company has developed a biology-driven platform with therapeutic potential across multiple liver diseases. It builds on decades of pioneering research from a globally recognized academic leader in hepatology, whose discoveries have provided fundamental insights into key metabolic drivers of liver disease. Based on this biology, the company is developing a pipeline of novel siRNA therapeutics for multiple liver disease indications.
The Team
The scientific founders are joined by a highly accomplished CEO with a proven track record of building and financing biotech companies, as well as an operationally minded CMO who has successfully led multiple clinical development programs through late-stage development and regulatory approval across cardiovascular, liver, and obesity indications.
The Role
They are looking for a scientifically outstanding, hands-on and entrepreneurial CSO to complete the leadership team and drive the company’s pipeline toward the clinic, with the goal of bringing transformative therapies for patients with liver diseases and significant unmet medical needs.
